worn new york. the human touch and the influence it has on our surroundings.
when creating the pieces i make, i think of time. space. influence. exposure. minerals grow, change and shift with these factors. geologists know this. we all intuitively know it.
but do we see it?
not even remotely all of it. this is what i’ve seen when i’ve been looking. and i’ve missed almost all of it.
may of these images come from the well heeled sidewalks of NYC. some are from door handles, banisters, anywhere a hand might have influenced the surface. or, human influence.
i could go on, but i’ll leave you with these pieces culled from the herd.
